Global markets
Major Asian markets are trading flat to positive at present with Shanghai Composite up 0.14%, Hang Seng up 0.24%, while Nikkei is trading 0.03% lower.
US Markets: The major averages closed in positive territory but well off their highs of the session. The Dow climbed 0.2% to 24,782.29, the Nasdaq edged up 0.1% to 6,965.36 and the S&P 500 rose 0.2 to 2,684.57. The reaction to the passage of the tax reform bill has been somewhat subdued so far, as traders questioned if the potential impact of the legislation has already been priced into the markets.
European markets also closed in the green yesterday with FTSE up 1.04%, CAC up 0.62% and DAX ended 0.31% higher.
FII /DII Data: In yesterday’s session FII’s sold 383 crores stocks in the cash market whereas DII’s bought 1,574 crores worth of stocks. In the derivative market, FII’s sold 183 crores of Index futures and bought 1,237 crores worth of Index options. In the Stock futures segment, FII’s bought 56 crores worth of stock futures and bought 47 crores stock options.
