Sensex closes 205 points up, Nifty crosses 10320



The first business day of the week has seen good growth in the domestic markets. The Sensex and the Nifty closed more than 0.5 per cent higher. In today's trading, the Nifty reached 10,329.2 while the Sensex had knocked it down to 33536. Finally, the Nifty closes near 10320. The Sensex has managed to close above 33450.

Shopping is also seen in mid-caps and smallcap stocks. The BSE mid-cap index closed 0.4 percent higher. The mid-cap 100 index of Nifty has seen an increase of 0.5 percent. BSE's Smallcap index climbed 0.25 percent.



Auto, Banking, IT, Pharma, PSU Bank and FMCG shares have seen the highest purchases. Bank Nifty closed above 25,404 with a surge of 0.3%. Nifty's auto index has gained 0.6 per cent, IT index 1.4 per cent, Pharma index 1 per cent, PSU Bank index 1.1 per cent and FMCG index 1 per cent. However, realty, oil and gas and capital goods stocks have shown little pressure.

The 30-share index of the BSE closed 205.5 points, or 0.6 percent, at 33,456 level. NSE's 50-share index Nifty closed 57 points i.e. 0.5 percent, at 10,322 level.
